Interests

When I'm not working, I love visiting art museums and reading. My favorite authors include Salman Rushdie, Laura Alcoba, Jeanette Winterson, and Ali Smith. I speak French fluently, and spent my junior year of high school as an exchange student in Rennes, France. I'm an amateur translator, and have translated one novel from French into English.

I did my BA in linguistics and received honors for my thesis, "Something fits here (but I don't know what): a treatment of the hybrid identity condition on sluicing". I have a passion for formal logic and all things semantic. I also love television. My favorites include Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Jane the Virgin, and any/all Star Treks except Enterprise.
